Agenda 4-11-12

AP Chemistry

We took a last look at buffers and titrations curves. Quick quiz tomorrow and a test on Friday.

Practice for tonight:

  • 100 mL of 1.00 M HCN is mixed with 1.00 M NaOH. The Ka of HCN is 5.8 x 10-10.
  • How many mL of NaOH need to be added to reach the equivalence point?
  • How many mL of NaOH need to be added to reach the half-way point?
  • What is the pH at the equivalence point?
  • Sketch a graph of the pH vs the amount of NaOH added. Include values on x and y axes.

Chemistry 102

We attempted to finish our lab today. We will finish tomorrow.

Accelerated Chemistry

We turned in our last lab and started our Vitamin C lab.
